Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Kapps LLC ("Kapps", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Sleek — To-Do & Task Manager ("Sleek" or the "app").
The short version: Sleek collects the minimum needed to sync your tasks across your devices — your sign-in identity and the content you create. We never sell your data. Payments are handled entirely by Apple. Free-tier ads are served by Google AdMob under the consent rules described below, and upgrading to Sleek Pro removes ads entirely.
Use of Sleek is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information — when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name (if provided), email address, and a unique account identifier. With Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your real email address.
- Your content — the lists, tasks, notes, due dates, reminders, priorities, and list colors you create in Sleek.
- Preferences — app settings such as appearance mode (system/light/dark), notification preferences, and list display options.
- Support requests — if you contact us via the in-app "Contact us" option, the pre-filled email includes a diagnostics block (app version, device model, iOS version, your account email and user ID, plan, and region) so we can help you faster. You can see and edit everything in that email before choosing to send it.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — app events and feature usage (e.g. task created, screen viewed), collected via Firebase Analytics to help us understand how Sleek is used and improve it.
- Crash and performance data — crash reports, device model, OS version, and error logs, collected via Firebase Crashlytics so we can find and fix bugs.
- Device and log data — device type, operating system version, app version, device identifiers, IP address, and timestamps, as part of the services above.
- Advertising data (free tier only) — see "Advertising" below.
What we do not collect
- We never see or store your payment details — all purchases are processed by Apple.
- We do not collect your precise location.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
- Face ID / Touch ID for private lists is evaluated entirely on your device by iOS — biometric data never reaches us.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide and sync your lists, tasks, and settings across your devices and sessions.
- Schedule the task reminders you set. Reminders are local notifications created on your device — they are not sent through our servers.
- Manage your Sleek Pro status. Purchases and renewals are processed by Apple; we store only your subscription status.
- Show your today/overdue tasks in the home-screen widget. Widget data is cached on your device in the app's private shared storage and never leaves it.
- Understand feature usage, diagnose crashes, and improve the app.
- Show advertisements to free-tier users (see "Advertising").
- Respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content (tasks, notes, lists) for advertising or any purpose other than providing the service to you.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Your account data and content are stored in Google Cloud Firestore (part of Firebase, operated by Google LLC), protected by Firebase security rules so that your data is accessible only to your authenticated account. A copy of your data is also cached on your device so the app works offline.
Advertising
Free-tier users see advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier), ad interaction data, and coarse (IP-based) location to serve and measure ads.
- Consent — where required (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we ask for your consent through Google's consent management platform before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings > My Profile > Account settings > Manage ad preferences.
- App Tracking Transparency — on iOS, tracking across other companies' apps and websites happens only if you allow it in the ATT prompt. You can change this in your device Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Removing ads — upgrading to Sleek Pro removes all advertising (and with it, AdMob's data collection) from the app.
For more information, see Google's Advertising Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
Sleek uses the following services, each of which processes data as described in its own privacy policy:
- Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — manages sign-in; processes authentication tokens and account identifiers.
- Cloud Firestore (Google LLC) — stores your account data and content.
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — usage analytics.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — crash reporting.
- Google AdMob (Google LLC) — advertising for free-tier users, with consent managed via Google's User Messaging Platform.
- Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — optional sign-in method; shares your Google account name, email, and profile photo with us.
- Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.) — optional sign-in method; shares your Apple ID identifier and, at your choice, your name and a real or private relay email.
- Apple StoreKit / App Store (Apple Inc.) — processes all payments and subscriptions. We never receive your payment details.
See Google's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Delete your account in the app: Settings > My Profile > Account settings > Delete Sleek account. This permanently removes your account and all your tasks, lists, notes, and reminders from our servers.
- You can also request deletion by emailing hq@kapps.us. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.
- Signing out does not delete your data — it remains stored so you can sign back in.
- We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, and afterwards only where required for legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcing our agreements. Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be retained longer.
Security
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on Google's infrastructure, with access restricted to your authenticated account by Firebase security rules. While we work to protect your information with commercially reasonable safeguards, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Sleek is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in parts of the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us.
International Data Transfers
Your data is processed and stored on Google infrastructure that may be located outside your country of residence. Where data is transferred out of the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's data processing terms.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information (your name can be edited directly in the app under Settings > My Profile).
- Delete your personal information (see "Data Retention and Deletion").
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (for example, ad personalization), without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hq@kapps.us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
European Union / UK (GDPR)
Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (providing and syncing the service you signed up for), consent (ad personalization where required), legitimate interests (analytics, crash reporting, service security and improvement), and legal obligations.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect (described in this policy), to delete it, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. In the preceding 12 months we have collected: identifiers (name, email, account and device identifiers, IP address), internet activity (app usage events), and device information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. To make a request, email hq@kapps.us with "California Privacy Rights Request" in the subject line.
Business Transfers
If Kapps is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any acquiring entity will continue to be bound by the commitments in this Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date, and for significant changes we will notify you in the app. Your continued use of Sleek after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
